CURRICULUM AND ACADEMIC POLICY

The Alpamys School curriculum is based on the State Mandatory Standards of Primary, Basic Secondary, and General Secondary Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The program content is designed to develop students’ functional literacy, as well as key subject-specific and interdisciplinary competencies.

Our academic policy is regularly reviewed and updated in response to changes in the educational environment and feedback from all stakeholders. We remain flexible and adaptive, ensuring that our curriculum meets the evolving needs of our students.


ORGANIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS:
2023-2024 Academic Year

  • Start and end dates: September 1, 2023 – May 25, 2024
  • Duration:
    • Grade 1: 33 academic weeks
    • Grades 2-11: 34 academic weeks


HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR STUDENTS (2024/2025 Academic Year)

  • 1st quarter – 8 weeks; autumn break – 7 days (Oct 28 – Nov 3, 2024)
  • 2nd quarter – 8 weeks; winter break – 10 days (Dec 30, 2024 – Jan 8, 2025)
  • 3rd quarter – 10 weeks; spring break – 11 days (Mar 21 – Mar 31, 2025)
  • Additional 1st grade break – 7 days (Feb 10 – Feb 16, 2025)

The educational process follows a 5-day school week, with additional Saturday classes.
